While the AS1 still uses their premier carbon composite and MonoFrame 360 One-Piece Technology, CCM improved the responsiveness and durability with a new carbon layering pattern, a slightly taller boot height, double-stitched eyelets and re-designed toe cap vamping.

The FT390 comes with a Tri-Tech 7mm, two-piece felt tongue with injected, high-density PE center foam reinforcements. The triple-layered construction in this pro-level tongue promises elite-level protection and comfort. The injected foams are thermoformable for a custom fit after baking. The embossed lace-bite saddle helps secure the laces in place, prevent slippage, and reduce lace bite. The liner is CCM’s Total-Dri Pro model with DuraZone abrasion patches. CCM’s premier liner, the Total-Dri Pro does a great job wicking any unvented moisture from inside the boot. The DuraZone patches at the top of the quarter package will help extend liner life for players who position their shin guards under the tongue. Comfort Foam padding at the top of the quarter package will also help alleviate high-ankle abrasions, a common problem in stiff, high-end boots. Multi-density memory foam ankle pads provide premium interior comfort and help lock in the heel for improved stability. The footbed is CCM’s vented Air System model, contoured for comfort and vented for coolness. The holders utilize a positive-lock mechanism that tightly secures the runners to the holder to prevent the blade from loosening during gameplay.
