For 2018, CCM builds off their successful Tacks line of skates and offers key upgrades to the CCM Tacks 9080 Senior Ice Hockey Skate. On the outside, the CCM Tacks 9080 Senior Ice Hockey Skate is composed of a 3D lasted quarter package and CCM’s Rocketframe composite material. This anatomical fit wraps around the foot creates a locked in feel within the skate. Moving to the inside of the boot, the core will be constructed with CCM’s Speedcore 2 stiffness. This heat moldable core is super lightweight and stiff which allows skaters to generate more power from their stride. Internally, CCM is featuring symmetrical multi density memory foam to provide a more detailed custom style fit inside the skate. On top of the foams, Tacks 9080 skates come with the TotalDri liner that will help wick away moisture to keep the foot locked and dry throughout the game. CCM also added abrasion spots in the high wear areas to help with the internal durability of the skates. Moving down from the boot, the Tacks 9080 will have a reinforced TPU outsole, which will help maintain the energy transfer from the boot through the skate.
