The kidney areas of the Tacks AS-V are also well protected thanks to molded-PE caps. These caps provide elite-level impact protection, and a sublimated comfort liner will provide maximum comfort for the player. Moving around to the back of the Tacks AS-V Hockey Pants, players will find an exposed foam spine protector with D30 lite smart material. This spine protection powered by D30 lite offers an elite-level protection for this sensitive area. Coupled with that is a seamless transition that keeps the hip and tail pads connected for optimal comfort. The D30 smart material will disperse impact force in this highly sensitive area, keeping players protected in any situation. Just below the spine protection, on both sides, is where you will find the JDP hip caps with D30 lite. This elite level hip cap construction with D30 lite smart material disperses impact force and shock away from the hip joints. Moving to the thighs, the Tacks AS-V Hockey Pants feature floating molded PE foam caps with PE Foam. This combination provides players with elite level protection and great mobility as well, thanks to the floating aspect of the pads. The Tacks AS-V Hockey Pants shell is pro cut with premium 400D nylon with high abrasion resistant side panels. A new feature is a pro cut – 1” length in back of the legs, and repositioned inner leg zipper to reduce friction during crossovers, for overall improved durability. To cap everything off, the Tacks AS-V Hockey Pants feature an internal belt with a stabilized belly pad and 1” length extending zipper. The adjustable inner belt keeps pants in place during play, while the protective belly pad offers more coverage and stays where it should. There is also a practical hidden +1” length extension which is a great for growth spurts or taller players. CCM has revamped their protective line and designed them to offer maximum breathability in a highly mobile, lightweight yet reliable protective package. Players will feel lighter and cooler than ever without sacrificing protection. The biggest change for the FT6 shin guards over previous models will be the all-new Aer-Tec thermoregulation system. This enhances air circulation, sweat evaporation and regulation of body heat. All of this helps to allow the body’s core temperature to cool quicker, helping players to keep cool and make faster, better decisions when it counts. The construction of the CCM FT6 Shin Guards has kept to its anatomical narrow fit design. Added this year is the multiple ventilation ports in the shin cap and shin liner for maximum airflow and a FLOFOAM knee donut contributes to comfort and pro level protection. This design offers a connected fit that does not feel bulky and offers lightweight mobile protection optimized for elite level of play. This is paired up with a floating compress-molded EVA foam calf guards which offer lightweight but tough protection and have abrasion resistance at the bottom to help with skate tongues. Molded premium EVA foams that are connected to the knee liner will offer a close to the body feel with high level protection. To hold everything in place, CCM used an upper lock strap with a stretchable comfort cushion and an adjustable calf strap for a customized fit. This is paired up with ultra-light Ufoam constructed shoulder caps that provide solid protection in a lightweight package. Moving down the arm to the biceps, CCM used PE molded caps with length adjustment for a custom fit on the arm. In the torso, CCM incorporated more of their molded PE foams with large ventilation ports. An Aer-Tec suspension system will provide optimal ventilation in the torso and back as well.
