For big impact protection like body checks and collisions, Absor Foam was placed in the kidney guards to absorb impact energy. It also suspends the body away from the kidney guards to help dissipate the energy before it reaches the hips and kidneys. AeroShield was used in the spine guard to offer lightweight coverage while offering pro-level protection against impacts like cross-checks. It remains close-to-the-body so you stay protected in every game scenario. Helping to reduce weight while maintaining elite-level impact protection is EPP foam in the hips and thighs. This extremely lightweight and high-density foam can manage blocked shots or take on big hip checks. Externally, the pant is built with a high-quality 840D nylon with overlay in key wear areas for added durability. Mesh windows were placed in strategic areas to ensure optimal airflow on both the front and back of the pants. The AX9 also features an extension system utilizing a loop attachment on the 8 suspender buttons. This allows the pants to drop either 1" or 2" for the tall, lanky player or individual growing between seasons. -
