The CCM Tacks AS 590 Intermediate Ice Hockey Skates are built for strength and power while being extremely lightweight. This skate provides superior energy transfer and a closer fit, to support the most intense skating strides. Starting with the fit, the Tacks AS 590 Skates feature a close to the foot anatomical fit that players are accustomed to with the Tacks line. This form-fitting, 360-degree fit around the forefoot, heel, and ankle helps eliminate negative space within the boot, allowing for more efficient energy transfer meaning improved speed and agility. Staying with the boot, the Tacks AS 590 Skates utilize CCM’s one-piece boot technology. Brand new for 2018, CCM has crossed the innovation and technology from their Super Tacks player skate into the new CCM Tacks 9080 Senior Goalie Skates. Building off of the already successful design, the Tacks 9080 skate has a new ergonomic boot specifically cut for a goaltenders performance. Starting with the outer quarter package, the boot is made of a 3D lasted design giving the goalie a locked in feel specifically made with CCM’s Rocketframe NHL-caliber lightweight composite material. The core is a lightweight thermo-formable Speedcore 2 shape which allows the goaltender bake their skates to fit. Generally, Tacks 9080 skates will have an anatomical fit which increase the amount of contact the boot has with the foot. This is paramount to reduce energy transfer and provide a solid fit throughout. Moving to the tongue, CCM utilized the Tritech flex technology with molded lace-bite protection.
